"Beloved" ex-WCC counselor was a four decade long fugitive

"The 67-year-old fugitive [Ronald Bridgeforth AKA Cole Jordan] told a San Francisco judge during a Thursday hearing that he was finally ready to accept punishment for opening fire on police officers in 1968, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report. Bridgeforth is alleged to have been involved in a violent 1960s radical group."

Ronald Bridgeforth was hired by WCC as a custodian under the assumed name of Cole Jordan in the late 70's. Over time he got his B.A. and M.A. and became a state licensed counselor at WCC. Good for him.

Doesn't say much for WCC's background checks of its employees though.
