U-6: The real unemployment rate in America
U-6 is currently 17% (as of April 2010) reports the WSJ. The nominal rate typically reported in the media is defined using the strictest and most limited measure of what "unemployed" means and so is always way lower. Who says the media never reports good new?

More disinformation from the Journo-list cabal. This kinda scheming is why people don't trust the mainstream media any longer.

Some in Ann Arbor were sad when Lee quit the U of M for Columbia. Me, I couldn't have been happier. And now the statist thug has written a muddle-headed op-ed advocating that the US gov start subsidizing newspapers, websites, and other media outlets. And as we all know by now, who pays the piper calls the tune. Isn't the mainstream corporate media enough of an outlet for the ruling classes Lee? Do we have to pay for them with tax money too? And who is gonna read or watch that dreck any way? Ever been to a government website?

They hire unemployed temps for minimum wage and give them signs, t-shirts and scripted slogans to chant for the news cameras. Sheesh. What would Marx say? I know what Lenin would say. Heh.
Allegiance Health Center (nee Foote Hospital) in Jackson, MI. It is sad to see those folks in hospital gowns and IV rigs standing outside the hospital on Michigan Avenue huffing on cancer sticks, but this kinda lacks compassion. But still...it kinda is a waste of resources to treat them if they get to continue on with their addictions too.

Ex-wife of militia leader drops dime on her former husband. Feds do the rest. - Ann Arbor.com
Based on what the media has written here so far, there doesn't seem to be much of a case beyond a pissed-offed ex-wife and some angry words. We'll see what else develops, eh? Angry working class white men are never really in fashion amongst the media elites any how are they? The big-shots in D.C. need a boogey-man to trot out before the media right now too. And if your favorite tool is a hammer, then every problem that comes your way seems like a nail needing to be pounded.
