Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano tried to give a $200K "severance package" to a personal aide moving across the hall to a another better paying county job. Go figure? The Wayne County Board of Commissioners says they're going to investigate this. Jeez I sure hope so.

Detroit's own U.S. Rep. John Conyers' son was caught driving dad's government issued SUV around town while night-clubbing recently. Pretty small beer, as scandals go, but still, John "Congressman for Life" Conyers is just such an ethical and legal mess. And like the rest of the criminal organization known as the Congressional Black Caucus John doesn't give a fuck about how he conducts himself in office since he knows he is never evah gonna lose an election. Maybe, maybe not. Ask Detroit's soon-to-be-ex-congresswoman U.S. Rep. Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick about that little bit of conventional wisdom.
