"Daily existence is increasingly that of despair, depression, and derangement, punctuated by news of the latest serial murder spree or global eco-disaster, consumed as horrible entertainments in the emptiness." - John Zerzan

City of Ann Arbor vows to crack down on graffitti
They hope to so by cracking down on property owners who don't clean it off within two weeks! That is their ass-backward solution. I shit you not. That is how they treat us property owners around the People's Republic of Ann Arbor. How about if the city also makes a stronger effort to arrest these spray-paint happy little creeps and have the community service portion of their sentences be to remove it maybe?

Ex-Rep. Mark Schauer (MI-7) says he won't run again in 2012 (Detroit News)
"...[In] an email sent Wednesday to supporters, the 49-year-old former state lawmaker said he was enjoying spending more time with his family and helping oversee an initiative for the joint labor-environmentalist group the BlueGreen Alliance. He also cited the new Republican-backed congressional redistricting map, which moved his hometown of Battle Creek from his former district."
Translation: I have a nice cushy job here in D.C., and the district has been gerrymandered and I don't think I can win now.

Same old story...
Ann Arbor residents are now very concerned about street crime. They bitch about having too few cops due to layoffs and that AA is also becoming a police state in the same breath. Go figure? They despise the ideas of surveillance cams in high crime areas but want to build a wall around the city to keep "out-of -towners" out? Welcome to the People's Republic of Ann Arbor! A high-crime, low common-sense zone surrounded by reality in southeast Michigan.
