No RoboCop statute for Detroit says Mayor Bing: "When Detroit Mayor Dave Bing asked the internet for ideas on how the city could be revitalized, one very smart idea came in through Twitter. User MT suggested that Bing build a RoboCop statue in honor of the city's cyborg protector of the late 1980s."

Sheesh. A few months back burglars broke into then DPD chief Jim Barren's pad and swiped some of his stuff too. As fun as it is to mock these guys it does show how precarious public safety is in Detroit. Those two live in nice neighborhoods and they still got hit.
