Irritated hunters shoot down animal rights group's aerial drone

Can't blame the hunters really. The hunters were on their private property and engaged in a lawful activity while the drone was trespassing and trying to disrupt their activity.

Coming to skies above you soon

Police deployed UAV's. They are unarmed (for now anyway) but they are engineered to have the capability to be armed with a variety of weapons. The drones are to be put into active service soon in the skies above Montgomery county, Texas. (h/t: Slashdot.org/)

USAF drone fleet's operating system hacked by computer virus

A virus infecting the drone fleet's OS shouldn't be an insoluble problem though. For the massive amount of time and money spent on these things they should be better cared for and maintained.
