There have been a spate of armed robberies of late in Ann Arbor and which is a bad thing for our community, (and especially bad if you're the one with the gun barrel in you face), whatever the cops say about gun violence being "rare" in Ann Arbor.

Potencial solution to police layoffs?
Despite its nascent-Terminator like appearance eh? Having these cruising high crime/high risk environments (under control of a human operator though) may not be such a bad idea. They don't go on strike, ask for huge wages and benefits, demand to retire after 20 years at 80% of their salary, ask for OT pay or any of the other problems with human LEO's.

MSNBC reports that a sniper is stalking the Oakland, CA police. No one has been hit so far. "They hear gunshots and can feel the bullets pass by them," a police spokesman said.
