Preppers coming into the media spotlight sadly for them

The main-stream media is beginning to take note of the nascent "prepper movement". Naturally of course they dismiss preppers as kooks, nothing more than a "kinder, gentler" version of the survivalist types.  And why would they not? Nothing seriously ever goes wrong in the world of the big time media types and so they question/mock/ridicule them as to "why all the preparations" then? Which sure isn't true for the rest of us. The big-time media types see looming disaster as a news story to be covered; the rest of us, who would have to live through it, are looking for a way to ride it out as best we can. Therein lies the difference.
