Another view of the "changing face of America" - ann arbor.com
School maintenance guy fired after 30 years for being white. As white people slip from majority to minority status over the next decade or so, look for stuff like this to get more and more commonplace and obscenely obvious.

This is both funny and sad. Maybe Detroit needs to follow the lead of that city in California that also had a scandal-tainted police force and just disband the DPD completely and contract with the sheriff's office for police services. Seriously.

Hmm...I hope so. Let's see the evidence though first.

A really slimy hit-piece on Michigan Militia founder "Mark From Michigan" - Ann Arbor Observer
Presumably because Koernke wouldn't give the author's an interview they felt free to utterly trash him. Some grad student who cuts & pastes shit from the SPLC website is their main source of info on him. Now Koernke is kinda of a goof, but even this article, bad as it is, shows that he's mainly been the victim of law enforcement rather than a law breaker himself.
Let Fake States Fail: Anarchy as a Viable Solution to Artificial States - Let A Thousand Nations Bloom (Claudia Williamson)
The article refers to African nation-states but it could just as easily been referring to failed American city-states like Detroit, or their offshoots such as the public schools, road commissions and the rest of the numerous other lesser government entities here in Michigan that clearly meet the criteria of failed states. Accused Russian sex-bomb sleeper agent is kinda cute, but... - LA Times
But not enough for me to go to jail forever for doing espionage so I could do her. I wonder who would be swept up into a honey trap with her as bait? No doubt some would.
Michigan's ''texting while driving" ban starts today - Oakland Press
Really just a new pretext for pulling people over and issue tickets it seems to me.

"My second reason is a bit more political. I can’t stand the many references to biology by conservatives in this country, especially by those who do not really believe in evolution. They use biology as a convenient justification for their policies, saying that since nature is based on a “struggle for life” we ought to build our societies around selfishness and competition. They read into nature what they want to, and I feel it is my task to point out that they got it all wrong."

The sea lion's gluttony pissed off some local fisherman and so he had to die. A few more have been marked for death for the same reason. Kinda sad.
