Bottom line: I don't. I recently installed Mozilla's email client Thunderbird. I then used it to delete about 90 percent of my old email going back to 2001. In all the time I have had it archived I have never gone back to look at it even once. Ever. Now it's all "permanently" gone. I feel lighter already.
"Daily existence is increasingly that of despair, depression, and derangement, punctuated by news of the latest serial murder spree or global eco-disaster, consumed as horrible entertainments in the emptiness." - John Zerzan

I don't like Firefox 6 much
Others are having issues with it too. I have been using Firefox since it was a < one megabyte beta release too.
